Windows that were so dirty that the property owner couldn’t believe he didn’t have to replace the glass. We know what we do and have more experience in window cleaning than the average person in the Valley. So you came to the right address to ask the question: What is the best way to wash windows?
Let’s start with the outside.
To explain the best way to clean outside windows, we have to start by explaining the most basic way. To clean your windows you will need the following:
Step 1: Fill the bucket with half warm water and a little drop of liquid soap. With the first sponge, you remove the worst dirt. You then repeat this with the second, clean sponge.
Step 2: Clean the windows again with clean water and a microfibre cloth.
Step 3: Use the puller to pull over the windows from top to bottom. The first lane is horizontal. Make sure the strips overlap to avoid streaks. You clean the puller with a damp chamois after every strip.
Step 4: Use the kitchen paper to dab the visible streakings.
The inside of the windows are cleaned the same, just make sure you have towels underneath the window to protect the floor from getting wet.
The above steps are for cleaning the outside windows that you can easily reach and are not too dirty. For windows that you can’t reach you will need more equipment. Think about bigger ladders and/or telescopic window cleaning kit: telescopic pole, squeegee with a rubber blade, strip washer. You will also want to add white vinegar to your bucket of water to avoid streaking on the windows!
Before you start cleaning windows that are out of reach, make sure that safety comes first. Think about the stability of the ladder or the space around you that you need to move around. Clear this space and make your workspace visible for people who pass by.
The telescopic window cleaning kit is a safer way to clean the windows that are out of reach. With an extendable handle, you can apply a lot of strength, thanks to the wide brush you can easily remove dirt and once your window is clean, you turn it over and you can dry the glass with the other side.
There are a lot of myths around how to wash your windows the best way. Like adding a lemon in your bucket of water, using cotton in your cloths or turning the heat up inside your house for a better drying process. NOT TRUE.
